balanced view

I asked my friends for a balanced view on GMO, organic food, labeling...and this was a response by a colleague:
"Be careful when you say balanced view ... as long as the views you present are well researched that is balanced. Weighing total ignorance against well researched and documented views is not balanced. That is giving in to ignorance and saying it is OK to be ignorant and speak from that place"
